Get the Sharp Theme at ThemeForest.net
The Sharp Theme is a derivative of the Creattica Daily blog, which is a wordpress theme Colis Ta’eed and I did together a few months back. Collis thought it would be nice to offer a variation of that theme here on ThemeForest.net, I agree. And since Collis is such nice guy he came up with 4 new color schemes that all come standard with Sharp (Blue, Green, Orange and Red).

I must say this theme is a sexy typographically balanced bloggers dream, but my opinions slightly biased. However, I do think that as far as blog themes go this ones is among my favorites. One reason is that the theme comes equipped with an ad block that is not overpowering the simple and elegant design and yet the ads are prominent enough to still get noticed. A few other options the theme allows for are related posts (I love this) and using pagination instead of the built in Wordpress “previous posts” link, which I think we can all agree is useless if you have lots of posts. As well, the theme is sidebar widget ready, so add all the widgets you want, just remember that some of them you will need to add extra styles in the CSS to make them look correct.
A Quick Rundown
How the theme works is that it defaults to the regular option and you don’t need either of the optional plugins to get started you can just activate and get going right out of the box. On the other hand, you can install the optional plugins and extend the awesomeness, it’s your choice, but I would go with extra awesome any day.
The following plugins are recommended but optional:
- The wp-pagenavi plugin by Lester Chan
- Both the Post-Plugin Library & Similar Posts by Rob Marsh, SJ are needed to get the related post working.
You will find a set of much more detailed direction on what you can do with the theme in the ZIP file after you purchase Sharp. As well, if you have question about the theme or can’t figure out how to set it up go to ThemeForest.net and post a comment on the themes home page and I will do my best to answer your question as quickly as I can.
Cheers,
Derek Herman
